Beginning March 2010, Sharron will be serving, on loan from Youth for Christ, with Wings of Hope ministry in Virginia! Sharron is very excited to be involved with this unique type of Christian youth ministry, involving rescued horses, troubled youth and Christian volunteers. Taking into account the horse’s abuse story and the young person’s abuse story, the two are paired together with Sharron and other Christian adults. The three then work together every week, allowing for trust to develop and Christ to be shared. As they work together, God teaches both the young person and the horse to love and trust again, He increases the young person’s confidence and self esteem, and most importantly, relationships are built in which the truth, hope and love of Christ can be shared in relevant ways.
