October 1993

Dr. Mark Brewer holds the first steering committee meeting to discuss his vision for a different type of church in the Denver metro area.

November 20, 1993

The first informational meeting for people interested in the new church is held at the Sheraton Hotel; three other meetings follow in December.

January—August 1994

Colorado Community Church Sunday services officially begin—first held at the Hyatt Regency hotel and later at Regis High School.

September 1994—September 1995

The “TCI Era” begins with Sunday services and offices moving to the former TCI office building in the Denver Tech Center.

October 1995

With the purchase of the facility in Cherry Hills Village, CCC begins its “Englewood Era.”

1997

An expanding congregation moves the Englewood campus to three Sunday services. Continuing growth leads to a decision to develop multiple campuses in the metro area versus one “mega-church.” Aurora is chosen as the location for a second campus. A goal of five campuses in ten years is established.

1998

Rev. Robert Gelinas is brought on board to pastor the second campus in Aurora. He begins the year-long process of mobilizing volunteers for the introduction of the Aurora campus.

September 1999

The Aurora campus is launched at Rangeview High School with a starting congregation of 300.

2000

Leaders are sought and trained among the congregation at Aurora. New leaders are sought at Englewood to replace those who moved to Aurora.

2001

In February the Aurora campus moves into its new home, a renovated theater complex at Iliff and Chambers.

In July Dr. Mark Brewer accepts the call to be senior pastor at Bel Air Presbyterian Church in Los Angeles. The search for a new senior pastor at CCC Englewood begins.

The process of developing a third campus begins.

2002

Rev. Anthony Pranno is welcomed in September as the new senior pastor of the Englewood campus.

Rev. Robert Gelinas is named Lead Senior Pastor of Colorado Community Church.

2003

The Blizzard of March 2003 damages portions of the Englewood campus building, including our children’s wings. Plans begin on reconstruction.

The Englewood campus' brand new children’s area is opened in November!

2004

An expanding congregation moves the Aurora campus to add two services on Saturdays.

A new worship space at the Aurora campus (The Upper Room) begins holding services in December.

June 2005

The final phase of construction begins at the Englwood campus.

2006

Hugo Venegas hired as the third campus pastor.

Construction finished at the Englewood campus with opening day on Easter Sunday!

It is official: Stapleton is announced as the location of our third campus!

2007

The Stapleton Campus decides to launch on March 25, 2007!
