Ministry to Parents

Saturdays & Sundays

  • Parents can attend our worship services (Saturdays in the Worship Center at 4:30pm and 6:05pm and Sundays in the Worship Center and The Upper Room at 9:00am & 10:45am) while their children are in Sunday School with a Buddy.

Wednesdays

Thursdays

  • Every other Thursday night, we host a Support/Prayer Group for parents of children with special needs from 6:30 – 8pm.
  • New attendees are always welcome.
  • The group is designed to create a community that provides encouragement and fellowship, shares resources and brings struggles to the foot of God’s throne of grace.
  • Doing Bible studies and reading and discussing books written by and for parents of children with special needs are some of the activities the group has undertaken.
  • Bible classes for children with special needs (ages birth – adult) and their siblings are offered at the same time as the parent group and are led by special educators, volunteers and childcare workers.

Youth/Adult Ministry

Sundays

  • Youth and adults with special needs are welcome to attend worship services in both the Worship Center and The Upper Room with their families (Saturdays in the Worship Center at 4:30pm and 6:05pm and Sundays in the Worship Center and The Upper Room at 9:00am & 10:45am).

Thursdays

  • During the Parent Support Group, a Bible class for adults with special needs is offered and led by special educators and volunteers.
  • The class provides adapted Bible curriculum, activities and fellowship time and is open to youth and adults ages 14+.
  • Parents are welcome to join the Support Group or take time for themselves on-site in our lobby. Our plan is that parents will be able to eventually take advantage of this time as respite off-site.
