Children who've experienced trauma respond differently to structure and social situations.
In the time that we have caring for kids in church, our hope is to help them feel loved, cared for and safe as we teach them about Jesus. In order to help kids who've experienced trauma be in a space to learn about God's love, we have to care for them with a trauma-informed approach.
During this training, we will explore differences in brain development as a result of trauma, ways to anticipate potential issues, and practical tools to address behaviors that can be hard to manage in the classroom. We want to love these kids well!
