Mission: Lakota

PINE RIDGE RESERVATION, SOUTH DAKOTA

We build relationships and serve the Lakota people through activities and community service projects.

What We Do

Since 1996 we partner with the team of missionaries who live and work on the Reservation year-round with the hope of building friendships with Lakota people while serving in the community. Every summer we travel and serve through team projects such as: building and renovating the Re*Creation and Worship Center, hosting bicycle repair, basketball camps, Vacation Bible School, a first-aid class, crochet & knitting, pickle-ball, horseshoe tournaments, a science & technology class, community dinners, and doing home makeovers.

About the Lakota People

The Lakota people are a beautiful and honorable people who have faced enormous tragedy in their history. For many this has resulted in challenging living conditions, economic disadvantages and generational poverty. We go to help empower and support the Lakota people’s vision and dreams for their own future. We are there to help “grow fruit on other’s trees” and define success in others’ triumphs!
