We engage in year-round fundraising to support these ministries. We also plan “vision trips” which allow us to maintain these global relationships and introduce potential donors to experience first hand the amazing work these ministries carry out on a regular basis. While in country we also handle needed projects and provide medial physicals for staff and children. Our long-term goal is helping the people of Ethiopia become self-sustaining through investing in today’s children — the nation’s future.
Ethiopian founded and run, CDA operates two homes for children, providing a family life with “house moms and dads.” They also support their local community by sponsoring children with present, yet in need of support, parents. They even invest in their local public school by recruiting, training, and paying teachers.
Hand of God serves the city of Gondar through spiritual adoption. This concept starts with monthly support, but extends beyond encouraging donors to take an active role in each child’s life. The ministry also influences long term change by supporting single parents, offering programs through their own community center, prison outreach, entrepreneur micro-financing , and evangelism. HGM also hosts family life conferences encouraging men to step up in their families and to stop violence against women.
