Mission: Uganda

UGANDA, AFRICA

We partner with How101 and Youth for Christ in Uganda to run the Starfish Camp—an educational scholarship program for young mothers and their children.

What We Do

Through an ongoing relationship with How101 and YFC Uganda, we will be running the Starfish Camp, an educational scholarship program for young mothers and their children. YFC Uganda staff take note of bright young mothers who come through Mirembe House. After their baby is older, they are encouraged to apply for the program. Or, if a young mother is not able to return to school, she is encouraged to apply for her child once he/she is old enough for preschool.

About How101

How101 was birthed from members of Colorado Community Church and is now its own non-profit organization. We exist to transform lives through education, support and basic necessities within targeted community groups in Africa. We responsibly and relationally connect people through personal sponsorships, tangible self-sustaining projects and other means. Our consistent partnership with indigenous leaders cultivates the best strategy for individual lives and their peer communities.
