Walking the Talk (May 6, 2007)
A trip to Ethiopia last summer helping CCC lay groundwork to come alongside an orphanage jolted John and Terina Dutton. They were appalled at the conditions they found.

Walking the Talk (April 15, 2007)
It should be no surprise that the ministry of intercessory prayer found its way to Cindy Alexander. "I'm what you would call a bleeding heart," she explains. "I feel others' pain. My father used to say, 'If you don't learn how not to do that, you'll go crazy because you can't carry people's pain with you.'

"I'm like a fish out of water," she laughs. She speaks of being among middle- and high-school students as though a lost foreigner from the land of adulthood. Nevertheless, Sherry Hamrick is surviving just fine as she mentors a small group of students in a "satellite" Bible study and fellowship group in her home.

Walking the Talk (March 25, 2007)
God is good, God is big and mighty, and He loves all the children. That was everything her four-year-old heart and mind needed to know, and it drew her to the Savior. As a nine-year-old, anguished over her parents' divorce, she remembers sobbing, praying over and over to make sure God was really "in there" in her heart. "Are You sure you're in my heart?" she recalls crying out.

Over 25 years ago his Christian wife excitedly shared some scripture with him. "Do not be anxious about anything, but in everything, by prayer and petition, with thanksgiving, present your requests to God. And the peace of God, which transcends all under- standing, will guard your hearts and your minds in Christ Jesus." (Philippians 4:6-7) "So?" he responded.

"Christ is not looking to see who has their doctrine straight. but whose heart is His. That is the focus of Crossover: transforming these guys' hearts into hearts of servants and leaders. The idea is to take risks, not in the name of adventure, but in the name of Jesus."

"We are God's workmanship..." (February 18, 2007)
The timid three-year-old boy clung to his mother, afraid to be left alone in the room full of strangers. Noticing that the teacher could use some help, the mother stayed in the Sunday School class - and not just that Sunday.
