Grace and Truth - Part 3
Normally a Jew would have avoided Samaria at all costs. But John 4:4-26 tells us that Jesus had to go through Samaria – the key word is “had.†Why? Jesus had to go through Samaria to share grace and truth with the woman at the well. Jesus wraps the truth of the women’s sin in words of grace. As Paul says in Colossians 2:4, “Let your speech always be gracious, seasoned with salt, so that you may know how you ought to answer each person;†Pastor Robert challenges us to think carefully of our words. Are they seasoned with both truth and grace?
