The Christmas Store will take place on December 5, 2009
Since its inception in the Capitol Hill area in 1984, The Christmas Store has provided low-income families the opportunity to purchase brand new Christmas gifts for their children by partnering with Christian ministries and businesses.
The Christmas Store coordinates with local ministries and community programs to invite qualifying families to shop at the one-day event, and also collaborates with local toy stores and businesses to make thousands of dollars worth of gifts affordable for families in financial hardships.
The Christmas Store is a powerful outreach that provides these families with an inviting and dignified shopping experience, where they purchase two perfectly suited new gifts for each of their children at only 25% of their retail cost.
Each year, a local school is literally transformed into a festive toy store were more than 500 volunteers come together to help more than 1600 children in just a few hours.
The need continues to rise each year. Please make the hope and joy of the Christmas season a reality for hundreds of families by:
