Worship Arts

The music ministry is a unique, servant-hearted ministry committed to serving the church as well as reaching out to our community with the “Good News” of Jesus Christ through Music and The Arts which includes several dimensions throughout this department.

Technical

Supporting and enhancing the worship activities and so much more is the capable technical ministry team. These people provide the audio, video, lighting and computing tools needed in order for our services and events to run smoothly and professionally. This team uses the latest software to drive everything from projecting information on to sanctuary screens, to linking the live service in the sanctuary to the screens throughout the church as well as our other location in “The Upper Room.”  They also provide our audio recordings of Sunday services which are made available for purchase at the media table as well as downloadable podcasts on the website. This team is crucial for the operation of worship services and much more.

Choir

The Street Choir is a nontraditional choir composed of people of all ages and backgrounds with different skill levels that have the same goal in mind. Their passion is to simply be an instrument of praise while making a “joyful noise” with the best that they have to offer our Savior… and have fun doing it! It’s a safe place to come and be a part of a family of people who genuinely care for each other and still get to sing and learn as we all grow and walk this journey together.

Band

Another important dimension of this department is to raise up young musicians and worship leaders to go out and continue to proclaim His name through worship as the next generation. We meet approximately once a month to mentor and train “the up and coming.”

Other Forms of Arts

The Worship Arts Department is also continuingly pursuing various avenues to explore and express worship. We currently work with a dance team as well as a “silent choir” who ministers specifically in worship to the deaf through sign language.
